Four years ago, XO Chocolate was born out of a passion for creating exquisite, high-quality chocolate that would stand out on the world stage. From our early days in a small kitchen, experimenting with recipes and sourcing the finest cocoa beans, to now being recognised on the international chocolate scene, our journey has been nothing short of remarkable.

Our vision was simple: to create a product that not only delights the senses but also respects the origins of its ingredients and the people who produce them. Over these four years, we've stayed true to this vision, constantly refining our craft and pushing the boundaries of what chocolate can be.

Overcoming Challenges: The COVID-19 Pandemic and Beyond

Like many businesses, XO Chocolate faced significant challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Supply chain disruptions, staffing challenges, and not to mention that our founder was on crutches, really tested our resilience. But through these trials, we found strength in our community—our dedicated team, our loyal customers, and our suppliers.

The energy crisis and the lesser-known cocoa price saga of 2024 continues to  test our mettle. With cocoa prices fluctuating wildly due to geopolitical tensions and climate change, we had to make tough decisions to maintain the quality of our chocolate while ensuring affordability for our customers. These challenges have taught us invaluable lessons about adaptability, sustainability, and the importance of community support.

None of our success would have been possible without our incredible team. From the chocolatiers who meticulously craft each piece, our baristas, social media team and packing staff who ensure every order reaches you with care, every member of the XO Chocolate family plays a crucial role in our journey- with many rising above to do more than just one role! Over the past four years, we've welcomed new faces and said heartfelt goodbyes to others, each person leaving an impact on our journey.

From our suppliers who cultivate/process and refine the finest cocoa beans, to the hands that package our chocolates, and most importantly, to our customers who believe in us and come back each day, season and celebration —these accolades are a shared triumph.
